Simple Birthday

Sorry that I have not been posting too much lately.  I have been in a funk...it usually happens this time of year, but I am making an attempt to break out of it.  This card was inspired by two challenges.  The Color My Heart challenge this week was to use the colors Smoothie and Topiary.

 
The other challenge I used for inspiration was Sunday Stamps.  Here is their sketch:
 
 
And here is what I came up with:
 
 
I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in Bamboo to create a muted background for the card.  I also used the Chocolate color to distress the background.

    So glad you came out of your funk to create this great card. I had to really look to see the greeting on the background, but I love how it's so subtle and adds texture without taking away from your focal point. Thanks for linking up with us at Color My Heart.
