Simple Birthday

Sorry that I have not been posting too much lately.  I have been in a funk...it usually happens this time of year, but I am making an attempt to break out of it.  This card was inspired by two challenges.  The Color My Heart challenge this week was to use the colors Smoothie and Topiary.

The other challenge I used for inspiration was Sunday Stamps.  Here is their sketch:

And here is what I came up with:

I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in Bamboo to create a muted background for the card.  I also used the Chocolate color to distress the background.

Supplies:
White Daisy Cardstock
Desert Sand Cardstock
Cricut® Artiste Cartridge
Topiary Exclusive Ink®
Smoothie Exclusive Ink®

  4. Jessica, I'm so happy to see you combine these two challenges! You did a wonderful job of meeting all challenge requirements. Your stamped banners look great on top of the Desert Sand background. Thanks for playing along with us at Color My Heart Color Dare and Sunday Stamps. (Aren't I lucky enough to be on the Design Teams for 2 of my favorite challenges?) Please join us again soon!

  5. So glad you came out of your funk to create this great card. I had to really look to see the greeting on the background, but I love how it's so subtle and adds texture without taking away from your focal point. Thanks for linking up with us at Color My Heart. We hope you come back again and again!!
